"Jesus Freaks" first became a thing during the Jesus Revolution in the 1960s and 70s. The movie Jesus Revolution tells the story of a cast of characters at the heart of that movement that is seen as the last true spiritual awakening. The movement and story of those spurring it along teaches us a lot about how we can all be Jesus to all people and what the true purpose of the church is, no matter the generation.
